For over 10 year Gillian has been desiging and baking bespoke cakes to help people celebrate some of their most precious moments. Delicious, carefully-sourced ingredients are at the heart of everything I make: indulgent belgian chocolate, sweet vanilla, fresh, zesty citrus fruit, organic free range eggs and real butter mean that all my cakes are bursting with genuine flavour.

I believe that what tastes great should look equally amazing.  Delicate fondant ruffles, sugarcraft flowers and silky smooth buttercream have become a trademark but no matter what the design choice, elegance and attention to detail are equally as important. And, because these things take time, even in peak wedding season I only commit to a maximum of two cakes per week - as far as I’m concerned there’s real truth to the old saying that ‘less is more’. 

Formerly known as The Little Cupcakery I first opened my commercial doors in 2012 but as the business grew I began to concentrate more on beautiful cakes rather than cupcakes. Now with my focus solely on cakes I’ve rebranded with my gorgeous daughters providing the inspiration for the new look Sophia Rose Cake Design. New name, new brand, same commitment to flavour and design.
