A Wedding at Orange Tree House

Matthew and Sarah are the kind of people we want to celebrate with, after all, who doesn’t love the beautiful views of Orange Tree House, beautiful candlelight and fresh flowers.

The Venue … Matthew and I always knew we wanted an intimate wedding venue and when we found Orange Tree House, an 1820’s old stone barn style wedding venue, we knew it was just perfect for us. Orange Tree house is right on the shore of Strangford Lough and offered views that looked right over the lough to the Mourne Mountains - our own little slice of heaven.

The Wedding Dress …. When it came to pinning down the perfect wedding dress, I went straight to Petticoat Lane. My plan was to find an elegant and simple wedding dress, and I must say the ladies at Petticoat Lane really delivered. The dress I finally chose was from their Enzoni range and even now I’m still in awe of how beautiful it is.

The Wedding Vibe …. In setting the tone for an intimate autumnal wedding, I was keen to make candlelight a key feature throughout the wedding decor. I’ve always loved candle light, so we made our table centre tea lights, which gave the room a romantic glow after sunset. Mood Events provided fabulous lighting too, with beautiful festoon lights that were draped over the wooden beams on the ceiling. I couldn’t be happier with how the room looked, everything was so pretty and romantic.

Highlight of the day … One highlight was Matthew carrying me to the beach for photographs, it was very funny and a little scary.
