A Romantic Castle Wedding

Full of tasteful decor, stunning nature and minimal styling - Emma and Dan’s is set to inspire the modern bride or groom.

The Venue Taking a no fuss attitude, we tied the knot at Lissanoure castle. We loved the castle's charm with the open fires and stunning courtyard. We thought the walk down to the lake would be lovely for photos and a place to get a breather during the day itself.

The Ceremony My Grandfather drove me to the church in his classic Morris Minor. 'The church ceremony was really special. We exchanged vows and rings knowing that we were doing something really significant and having our friends and family there to witness was beautiful. We had a group of friends playing live music and Dan’s dad performed the service, which made the whole thing extra personal.

The Wedding Reception It was amazing to have all our friends and family in one room, we could not have been happier. As our guests arrived at the courtyard of the castle, freshly made canapés and Prosecco was supplied. We loved providing delicious food for our guests, our wedding banquet included Jam jar potted duck, pan seared fillet of Irish beef and a trio of delicious desserts.

Highlight of the day After we took to the floor for their first dance as husband and wife to An acoustic set of sky full of stars by Coldplay. The evening party then got into full swing and we had a fun night dancing with all our closest friends and family. It was a very special evening and one i will never forget.
