Destination Wedding: Dubai
Everything about this wedding was modern and fun, from the bride’s stunning gown from La Boda Bridal to reception decor and the breathtaking setting.
The Proposal Since we had talked about rings and getting married in the past I had an idea that it was going to happen soon. So Ryan had a tough job on his hands trying to surprise me. He thought that I would of guessed straight away what he was up to if he had of arranged a nice dinner or date. So one Saturday afternoon, I opened my front door to find candles lit all down the hall wall and Ryan down on one knee at the end of them.
The Venue I think we viewed every location in Dubai that had a beach but none came close to Al Qasr hotel. It had a beautiful clear beach backdrop for our blessing. The courtyard was also everything we were looking for, filled with twinkle lit palm trees and an adjoining inside room so the party could continue after the outdoor noise restrictions kicked in.
The Wedding Fashion I was pretty lucky with my dress. I had seen this dress online and immediatelu fell in love with it. I called the shop in Dubai but Unfortunately they didn't stock that range. So my sister took to the task of finding it at home and found it in La Boda Bridal in Banbridge. So I booked an appointment and travelled back home and as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one. I fell completely in love with this dress. I still am. Thinking about getting to wear it in the run up to the wedding was one of the most exciting parts for me.
Highlight of the day We both agree that our favourite part was the dinner reception. Part of it was seeing the venue and decor all come together for the first time and being overwhelmed by how beautiful it looked and then it was really only then that we finally got to completely relax and enjoy the rest of the day. I'm sure the drinks helped too.
