Jemma + Tim’s Real Wedding, Corrick House
Would you care to join us for a tea party? Yes, milk and sugar please and thank you! That’s exactly how we felt when we saw the beautiful images of this Corick House -Orchard Suite wedding. A great wedding day inspired by a mix of vintage vibes and fashion, plus underscored by a 1950’s toe tapping soundtrack. Let’s get the scoop from the lovely bride and groom as they take us through the little details from their day.
My dress was designed by Farage Paris and was purchased in Tomorrow's of Londonderry; the first shop I went to with my mum and the third one I tried on. The vintage gold colour really complimented my hair and skin tone and I adored the long train and layers of netting for the mermaid train. From every angle I fell in love with it. It was the only dress I tried on to make my mum cry, so it had to be right.
We really wanted somewhere to fit the theme of our wedding, which was a 1920's tea party. We loved the decor of the old part of the house, with the gorgeous entrance hall and library full of dark rich wood and lots of books and nick-nacs. The Orchard Suite at Corick House where we had our function had a absolutely stunning view, we really felt like the lord and lady of the manor, stepping out from an Agatha Christie novel.
I came up with the idea of having a vintage cinema ticket, as our first date was to the cinema. We got them made by Cupid Creations in Omagh, Charlene did a fantastic job and I was so pleased with them, they were better than I imagined. As a cake enthusiast and avid baker it was really important that the cake was perfect, Dawn was absolutely brilliant as she incorporated the lace from my dress and hand made sugar craft flowers that matched my bouquet to the top and mid tiers of the cake. Tim choose the band as he loves music, it was really important to him to have a full live band that played a wide range of genre's especially 50's classics and indie songs. We choose Freefall for Randlestown, we heard them online and loved their playlists and the sound of the band. The band on the night was amazing and definitely got everyone on their feet, which we think is key to a good night party.
We absolutely loved our wedding, the theme, the colours, the detail, the music, the detail and the smells. Everything came together so well, but we could not have done it without the support from our amazing family and friends. We all worked together and achieved so much for one day, and given another chance we would do it exactly the same all over again.
